2020 CUPHSONAA Research Grant Awarded to Keville Frederickson, EdD, RN, FAAN Class of '64

Dr. Keville Frederickson of Pace university was awarded the 2020 CUPHSONAA Research Grant for her project, "The Experiences of Ghanaian Stroke Survivors and Their Family Caregivers: The Bronx Diaspora." The project is in the final phase of a qualitative descriptive, multi-site study to compare and contrast themes among Ghanaian and Ghanaian Americans (Ghanaian Diaspora) to determine cultural differences in response to a medical event, stroke (Musah, Hudak, 2016). The aim of this research is to understand the experience of stroke survivors and their family caregivers of Ghanaians living in Ghana and the Ghanaian diaspora in the Bronx.
